MG MGB Technical - Pedal Box Cover Screws
The pedal box cover attaches with 4 screws. In the Moss catalog Some are identified and "long" and others are "short." Any idea which ones go where? Thanks. Dan |

You’re right. Moss Europe list them as PMZ308 (long) x3 and PMZ312 (short) x1, although PMZ308 is 3/16” x 1/2” and PMZ312 is 3/16” x 3/4”, so the opposite of what they say. I’m sure I just used the 1/2” screws on mine. I can’t think why one would be longer, unless there is something attached to the underside. |

----"SOME"---- "LHD" MGBs --with non boosted dual circuit brakes --had a long screw and a spacer in the front inner(towards the engine)hole to mount a double P clip to support the two brake pipes that come from the master cylinder, around the front of the pedal box cover to the brake distribution valve mounted on the inner guard, I've seen a couple but not all of them have it--possibly added later in the production run to stop the pipes rattling about willy |

Willy, Those lines are in the way, but no P clip on mine. Thanks for the insight! |
