MG MGB Technical - Power Bleeder
Searching for the collective experience of the group using the power bleeders currently on the market? Do any of the units besides the gunson unit come with a cap to fit the MGB master cylinders? If you have to make your own what techniques have you used to make it air tight? |

The EeziBleed is certainly useful for pushing new fluid through a system, but I have found it does not get all the air out of the front pipes if you have worked on thsoe and air has got in. I have to get someone to stand on the (long) pedal while I rapidly open and shut each caliper bleed nipple, which always blasts some more air out and gets me a hard pedal. The EeziBled can also be rigged to reverse-fill the clutch system, which removes the need to bleed it at all, a painful experience by all accounts. |

I have a Motive power bleeder. Works great and no need to worry about the master emptying providing you have enough fluid in the tank. Look on eBay. The only problem is getting the cap tight enough on the master which isn't too hard or time consuming. |

Mike, That is the one I was specifically interested in. Which version of the Motive brand did you buy? Also teach me about the MC cap...does it thread onto the master or is it held by clamps? |
