MG MGB Technical - Problem on car
I have this problem that will make the car not go. This problem make me angry at this car. The electrical parts will not start this car. It goes click click. I take some part from the car but still it no go. You must telling me how to fix car. |
Yoram Shevach |
Hmmm. |
Mr Grumpy |
Hmmm indeed. I say, continue removing parts until it starts. |
Anders Green |
Very uninformative thread..click click means either battery is near dead and the solenoid is clicking and not enough power to turn the starter or if the voltage is okay rebuild the starter....or the "click click" could be the fuel pump for all I know. hmmmm.. |
Eric Willis |
Click, click is Yorem clucking his tongue at the car which will not go. You must not cluck at the car, or you have destroyed your relationship with the car. The car is now angry with you and will not go with you anywhere. You must give the car to another, who has not clucked, nor angered the car. You must not sell the car, or the car will be angry at your profit. It will not run for anyone then. You must give the car to another who will love the car. Then it will run well. |
Ba'gua'n B'hai |
I remember Yoram's last thread- which was similarly uninformative. |

I guess you have to put all the bits you've taken off first..! ;-> Then whilst someone cranks the starter, smack the (starter) motor with a long handled spanner. If that doesnt work, sit and cluck some more i guess..?!? |
Phil |
Why do you not answer this question. You must now answer me this. |
Yoram Shevach |
Yoram, If you can be a little more specific then I quote " Electrical will not start this car". The car is full of electronics starting from the battery and ending at the spark plugs. No one around here has any idea what could possibly be wrong with your car unless you are a little more specific as to the problem. If you can't describe the problem then I suggest that you take your car to someone that may be able to sort it out for you. Eric |

I think "Yoram" (or whomever)is having us on. Very funny (not). |
Andrew Blackley |
I have been following this persons postings for quite some time now and by the history, all we can do is laugh. Soon, he will get angry and physical, and start punching his car in the places it hurts. He will then threaten his car and us for not helping. ugh.... |
Brian Johnson |
Alas poor Yoram, we knew him well.... |
Marvin Gardens |
Yoram its not that we wont answer you question, we cant. You havent provided any info for us to make any kind of assessment. All I can gather from your initial posting is the car wont start and the starter makes a clicking sound when you try to start the car. The only suggestion I can make for this is to check your battery connections to insure they are clean and tight. Make sure the battery is fully charged. Work you way forward from there, checking the connections on the starter, the starter solenoid, etc. You say you took some parts off- what were they? Put them back on before you do anything else as you may have create an entirely new problem. If this is too complicated then I can only suggest you find a local person familiar with MG's, perhaps join a local club or something. Since your there and we arent you have to be our eyes and ears- and be able to relate the information to us in a manner we can understand. |

Sell car. Sell computer. Buy treatment. |
Paul Hunt |
For all we know, Yoram may be driving a GM instead of an MG. He may be dyslexic in addition to being uncommunicative. |
Marvin Gardens |
Doesn't matter what this problem is. You fix this problem. You come to my house and you fix problem. You come today? |
Yoram Shevach |
Was that a contraction in Yoram's last comment? Strange he hasnt used a contraction in any of his prior posts. |
hmmmm |
Yoram, I KISS YOU! Tell me you're a joke... please! Lve, Mahir |
Mahir |
We not fix anything. You go #$%& yourself!! |
How Rude! |
Thank you Yoram for giving us good laugh today. Pls send car to me. Soon. Now would be acceptable. |
sudhir menon |
We may be able to help you here and now, Yorum, but in the next world you're on your own. |
Harry Cox |
Yoram, Your problem is a well known problem on the MGB. Cure : You must push on the horn switch when attempting to start the car. In the same time, you have to make "broom broom" with your mouth, till your windscreen is full of saliva. If this doesn't solve the problem, try to repeat 3 or 4 times 'I'm an idiot', this could help people staring at you to understand the situation. Keep us informed. |
