MG MGB Technical - Rear Anti-Sway Bar for 1975 B Roadster
Are there any ear anti-sway bar kits available for a 1975 mgb roadster. I was told that the 75 model could not accept a rear ant-sway bar. I do have a front anti-sway bar on the car currently. |

Vicky Brit shows a rear 3/4" anti-sway bar item #5-982 for 74-1/2 to 80 MGB for about $160. This is an aftermarket sway kit as the original type needs special mountings were welded on in the factory. I believe, ideally the rear sway bar should be smaller than the front so check the size of your existing. Hopefully its a 7/8". BL (or whatever) finally installed the rear sway bar on '77 and up as the increase in ride height made it painfully obvious of the increased angle of roll. |

Sure Richard. The most likely suspect is probably the Ron Hopkinson kit, which consists of both a front and a rear bar. You will not want to just throw a rear bar on there and hope for the best. They have to match. Personally I think the Hopkinson kits are the best thing since sliced bread. |
