MG MGB Technical - Rear brake cylinder retaining clip
In the archives there is mention of a tool for installing the rear brake cylinder retaining clip, where can I get one? Any tips on removing, replacing and refitting the rear wheel cylinders? |

I replaced the dreaded E-clips by 5/8" circlips - easy to apply with the regular circlip tool (essentially small pliers with tiny cylindrical pin ends. Far less blodd, sweat and tears. Barry |

Bob - Chris Betson of Octarine Services in England http://www.octarine-services.co.uk/ used to sell the tool for installing the e-rings. Cheers - Dave |

The Chicago website mentions a tool but not where to get it. The MGOC in the UK sells one at £15, as did another site a bit cheaper which seems to have vanished. I made my own at http://www.mgb-stuff.org.uk/wn_brakesframe.htm and click on 'E-clip Fitting Tool'. |

The MGOC price is £17.82 + VAT, I still sell them at £13.50. |
