MG MGB Technical - rear shock problems
HI All I would like if someone can help out here. I got this project mgb 1971 from a friend to finish..i hate that... battle to get everything on its place with some many parts missing etc i got it running a drove around the block to find out that the rear shocks are hitting hard on passing irregular road. they have fitted the monroe ref 234420 telescopic ones on with proper adapting fixing plates.( open 410mm close 250mm. checking the clearance it appear to have about 300 mm play before hits. the car is fitted with adapted 15" dia wire wheels. Now my question is iam doing something wrong?? are the 15" wheels ok? will post the picture just now. thank you |

You might want to try swapping the lower mounting bracket from left to right and turning upside down to increase clearance. |

Second that from Dave, only other question is "are they actually damping?" |
