MG MGB Technical - Rear Shocks
The rear shocks on my 73 MGB are leaking oil. At first it was just a little, and I would top them off now and then, but one is leaking really badly now. I have read a lot of things about shocks in this thread and the archives, but cannot find a definite conclusion. Am I better off to buy new shocks? Buy rebuilt shocks? Can I rebuild the shocks myself? Is there something else I should consider that I am missing? I would just like some opinions? Where is the best place to buy shocks? Thank you. |

You cannot repair them yourself. Even if you could get them apart, you will not be able to buy parts to fix them. Check out this site http://www.mailbag.com/users/nosimport/ for rebuilt shock. Thay do a super job and service is fast |

Apple Hydraulics (NY)rebuilds them, and they will do a "competition" upgrade if you like. FRM http://www.usachoice.net/gofanu |

I highly recommend World Wide --I have bought 4 sets of shocks from them for my 2 cars.No problems --fast service and there standard shock is better then most others uprated, |
