MG MGB Technical - Removing Headlight Trim - Thanks

Posted the question about a month ago and finally got around to taking another shot at removing the headlight trim rings. Success! Thanks to those who responded, especially Kimberly in San Francisco. The paint can opener worked perfectly. I pulled on the inside of the rim (next to the light) so as to minimize paint damage.
