MG MGB Technical - Sebring body kits

Can anyone share their experiences of fitting a Sebring body kit to a B roadster?
Tony Bates

Tony,

A look throught the archives might reveal some information as there are a reasonable number of postings there anout Sebring kits.

There is also some detail on the C board archives as well.

Hope This Helps, Pete.

I only installed the front and rear valances on my 67 mgb roadster, not the flared fenders. The Moss catalog was not lying when it said the installation took a lot of fitting and patience to make them look right. On the rear, use plenty of structural adhesive and have a lot of clamps on hand to hold everything in place. If you get serious about this email me and I can give detailed instructions on how I used some fasteners to assist the adhesive in holding everything in place. On the front, you have to drill your own holes in the valance to make it line up with the holes in the car. I also had to trim the edges of the valance to make it match the contour of the wheel cutout in the fender. Remember that if you install a front or rear valance, you can't install a bumper. Overall, I'm happy with the result but it was not just a simple bolt on job. You can check out some of the pictures on my mgb restoration web page at http://home.carolina.rr.com/ncrayls/

Hope this helps. -Rod
