MG MGB Technical - Some Electrics work some don't
I have a 1978 MGB runs ok but no Wipers, Tach, Fuel Gage, Washer, Running Lights, Temp Guage, Blinkers works ok Horn, headlights, Hazzards, Oil preasure, Interior lamp, Where is the problem??? Everything worked at first but as time went on each died. For awhile if you hit a bump it might change but now nothing. |

Go to http://advanceautowire.com and get a copy of the MGB schematics. You are interested in the Green wire circuit that should be connected to the 3rd fuse from the top. Check the fuse and connections at the fuse box. |

Last part of post got cut off ... Also, check under dash. The green wires connect thru bullet connectors and one or more of them could be loose or corroded. |

That got it! The fuse that was in the green circut was not blown but was not passing 12 volts. It showed resistance instead of registering a short on ohms scale. Replaced and all came back. Thanks |

Also check the fuse block itself. The little rivets holding the fuse holders come loose and do not allow cintinuity, Jusr remove the block - turn over and clean the rivt heads and surrounding area and then touch them up with solder.Take care and do not mount the block upside down as it will lead you to ??????%%%$#@ Sandy |
