MG MGB Technical - spitting fuel
Could anyone advise on this... one of my su carbs is spitting fuel back into the air filter when the engine is above 3500 revs. I was wondering if this could indicate a problem with the valves sticking open. The car pulls well With lots of torque but is a little lumpy down the rev range . Kind Regards Richard H |

Have you checked your dashpot oil? Make sure both pistons move freely in the carbs. Other possible causes could be the carbs out of synch, a short inside your distributor, a vacuum leak, ignition timing out of spec, or a fouled/bad HT lead or spark plug. |

If I had to check one point, that would be the float neddle adjustements in the float chamber. This issue Looks like an overflow . |
