MG MGB Technical - Steering Lock Switch Query
The steering lock on my '72 B needs to be changed. I have got the old lock off and bought another lock from eBay. The new (2nd hand) lock is made by Niemann(?) The switch contact in the start position is high resistance so will not operate the starter. Does anyone have any idea where I can get a new switch from? It is fixed to the lock mechanism by two screws and is different to the original lock/switch which has the switch secured by a grub screw. |

Hi. I suppose you could always use a push button for starting. Don |

I have a 74 MGB and had a local repair shop, Mount Joy, Hyattsville, MD replace the lock on the steering wheel with a Range Rover unit that fits and is much more durable. Mike |
