MG MGB Technical - steering wheel

Will a steering wheel from a 1974 1/2 mgb fit my 1979 mgb thank you. You are all so helpfull.

It should. I believe the steering shaft diameters are the same. The horn push for the late B is on the end of the turn signal stalk, so that should not be an issue, either.

I haven't tried this combination so don't know if the shaft diameter, taper and splines are the same size or not. However, the turn signal cancelling cam is mounted on the steering shaft for the 74.5. On the 79 the cam is part of the steering wheel hub.
