MG MGB Technical - SWITCHS OR STALKS TO COLUMNE ON 76 MGB
Any one out ther have picture or info on the correct installation of the wiper and light switchs on the steering column of a 1976 mgb?? I have a new 76 turn signal switch but it wont match with the current wiper switch, which seems to be correct. The horn wiper switch on the dash side gets in the way. |

The left stalk should control the turn indicators, dip switch/headlamp flasher and horns. The right stalk the wipers, washers (not horn) and overdrive (if fitted). The two switches are separate but the screws go through holes in brackets in the turn switch and screw into the wiper switch to clamp both switches to the column at the same time, i.e. no separate bracket going round half the column. |

Vad Vad I think Paul is thinking of UK cars as the US 76 had the horn control in the center of the steering wheel 77s had the horn on the left stalk RIC |

True enough, but the rest is still valid AFAIK. |
