MG MGB Technical - Thanks Paul Hunt

I've just had to change my clutch slave cylinder and used Paul's reverse method for refilling. Brilliant is the only description. Filled in seconds and did not need any bleeding. Thanks a lot. Now can you sort out my spring question on the thread Front Ride Height & Bump Stops......?

You can find Paul's method in the archive if you search long enough, but basically it involves a gunson's Eezibleed pressurised brake bleeding kit. This kit has a sealed plastic bottle in which you put the fluid. You pressurise the bottle from a tyre with not more than 10 psi pressure. All the necessary tubes and connectors are supplied.

What Paul did was to connect the outflow from the bottle to the clutch slave bleed valve with some convenient tubing. He then connected to the low pressure tyre and opened the bleed valve. The fluid then enters the system in a controlled manner from the bottom up. All you have to do is keep looking in the master cylinder until the fluid level has come up, and close the bleed valve. Disconnect everything and presto, like magic the clutch works. Took me about 5 minutes max.

The Gunson eze-bleed kit has all the parts required. Also check out Paul's website for detailed steps.
