MG MGB Technical - tyre pressures

what tyre pressures are recommended for mgb roadster running on 15" x 5.5J alloy wheels? Tyre size is 185x65x15.

Thanks

Ron,

My car is a 1973 MGB with the Mini-lite wheels and Michelin Harmony tires.

I was told to run 35psi and my car rides and handles great.

Cheers,

Robert

You will need to experiment until you find the right pressure for your driving style and suspension set up. A good place to start would be 29 front, 32 rear. This seems to be an average among most owners. Higher pressures will increase steering response but too high will give a choppy ride and decrease traction. Lower pressure will give a nice ride but less precise handling. MGBs aren't heavy vehicles so they don't require high pressures for normal road use. Good luck!
