MG MGB Technical - V8 clutch master cylinder

Has anyone fitted a V8 master cylinder? I have tried to fit one during a V8 conversion to a RB and it is to big for the recess. It is a GMC1011.

I have posted this question on the engine conversion sight but not having to much luck.
