Anyone have a list of FRAM, Purolater etc appropriate filters. In the past have tried filters that look like, sometimes works, sometimes leak sometimes strip threads any help appreciated |

Jon. This is covered, in great depth, in the archives. One of the best oil filters is the Mann W917 which many of us have used for a number of years. The K&N oil filter is also good and has a projection on the top of the filter allowing a standard wrench, rather than an oil filter wrench, to be used to remove it. Les |

The NAPA filter, made by Wix, is #1068. RAY |

Jon- Mann (Part # W917) Purolator Pure One (Part # PL20081) AC Delco (Part # PF13C) Motorcraft (Part # FL300) Volvo (Part # 3517857) Wix (Part # 51362) NAPA (Part # 1068) But the most effective is also the easiest to install: the K&N Performance Gold Oil Filter (K&N Part # HP2004). It filters down to 2 microns! |

PL20081 has been superseded by PL14670 |

Rob- Thanks for the updated info! I stopped using the Purolator filters and switched the the K&N filters a few years back, and so I was unaware of the change. |
