Matt. Chris Betson posts to this site and rebuilds engines. I have only dealt with him on parts, but was very satisfied with that transaction. Other people have mentioned, in passing, that they were running his engines with good results. You may wish to e-mail him and discuss the matter. MGOC and some other places offer reconditioned engines and you may wish to check with them. I am not sure of the quality of these engine since they are not commonly purchased by those of us in the US. I do know that Roger Parker is the chief of technical services for MGOC, which indicates, in that area at least, the MGOC is trying to provide excellent service. Les |

Peter Burgess is highly regarded. I doubt his prices are the lowest, however his quality is probably the highest! |

I purchased an MGOC club engine in April 2002 and have been very satisfied. It is an essentially stock engine and to-date has taken my 73 mgb roadster over 3000 uneventful miles. At the same time I also installed a Hi-Gear Engineering 5-speed conversion which makes for great highway touring. Regards, BarryQ 73B |
