MG MGF Technical - 2 piece 280mm discs for sale

For your info.
Im in the process of having some 2 piece, 280mm diameter by 22mm front discs made up using MGF/TF specific Bells, ie, no centralising rings or slotted stud holes.
Im hoping to have the first batch ready for the 4th August track day meet.
Im also hoping to have the 280mm rear 2 piece disc prototype kit ready for people to have a look at.
Any comments or sugestions welcome,
John.

Hi All,
The disc and bell assembly are being machined so they are suitable as a direct replacement for worn discs on exsisting 280mm kits.
A complete 280mm kit is also being offered.
The bells and brackets are being made in black and OE style champagne colour.
3 different groove paterns will be available.
Again, any comments or ideas get in touch,
Thanks in anticipation,
John

This sounds interesting - how much do you think they'll sell for?
Rob Bell

Hi Rob,
I'm trying to keep the cost of a pair of front disc's and bell's down to around £245 mark.
The 280mm kit will be around the £395 mark depending on the materials used for the bracket and the different coloured finishes.
Im desperate to get the 280 rear kit finished though!
dont get me wrong the front discs look amazing, its a pity to put the wheel back on, but the rears are going to be just fantastic, trust me!!!
Happy weekend

P.S.

The headlights are coming along very slowly, tooling costs have prevented a complete aftermarket unit, so im having to go down the kit route.
So far the kit will be 2x projectors with angel eyes for sides, or 1x projector for dipped beam and an upgraded BMW style reflector for full beam, both with angel eyes for sides. these will look brilliant!!!

Still no news on an TF into F rollbar kit as i havent managed to get a pair of complete TF bars and droplinks delivered yet (If anyone has a pair going spair please get in touch). But again this will happen.

I'd like to get someone (come on, you know you want to Mr Nation et al at VHS!!) to design better solid stainless steel subframe mounts, as i cannot believe how quickly they rot!!!!

To complement the 280 brake kits, i want a hydrolic brake pedel to servo linkage / a mounting kit to place the servo on the back of the pedel box.

Last but no means least, i want an alloy hub which utilises an uprated wheel bearing and increases track width without replacing all the wishbones etc.

But what i really really want is a square 6 spoke wheel in 17" x 7.5j for the rear axle!!!

Now, Ive had to see Take That 3 times in 2 years with the better half, so surely she'll let me get that little lot ;-)

Not sure who manufactured that wheel for MG Rover - but it may be possible to approach the OEM and see whether they'd be prepared to do something (particularly given that this is the way that the TF LE85 has been developed....) :o)

Looking forward to seeing the 280mm disc kits John :o)

Yeah I cant wait either;o)
Ive approched rimstock, or team dynamics (depending on how old you are) as theyve made the OE wheels for the TF85, which are the sizes Ive been after for ages!
But they look abit well iffy, my favorite is still the square 6 spoke.
But team dynamics do make their race 1.2 in the correct sizes and inset, so maybe i'll let this one go and fight some battles i can win.
Like bigger rear bearings on a custom hub with 15mm wider track per side, combined with 17"x 7.5j wheels and 225 rubber with stiffer side walls and 280mm rear discs!!
Hmmmmmmm.
