MG MGF Technical - Both Headlights have died

Morning all. Have looked through the archives and have found one instance of similar problem but I can't believe that both bulbs have failed at exactly the same time.
Went to work this morning, both headlights fine. Stopped for petrol. Continued to work but noticed that the headlights seemed fairly dim. (It was getting lighter outside and the streetlights on the highway meant that it was difficult to see if your own lights were working) When I drove into the garage the headlights were not shining on the door as it opened. Fuses seem to be OK (assuming I am looking at the right one) but I was wondering if there might be a relay problem. It does have relays doesn't it? All internal lights, indicators, brake lights, parkers and high beam work fine. Anyone have any thoughts? Regards John

Power from the Light Switch goes to passenger Compartment Fusebox Fuses 21 & 22 for Main Beam, 10 & 11 for Dipped Beam.
Put the lights on and check for power to fuses 10 & 11.
No power would indicate the switch or wire to Fuse Box.
No Relays.

Thanks, its fixed..though I still can't explain it. Two H1 halogen light bulbs blowing at exactly the same time without any of the fuses blowing. To my non technical eye, what are the odds of that happening?? I think I should purchase a lottery ticket...the odds are probably better!! Cheers

LOL John! Good to hear that it was something so simple :o)

I had exactly the same some time ago. Both bulbs blew the instant I turned them on one morning. I've not had any electrical, bulb or fuse issues since replacing them, fortunately. Nor have I won the lottery - though my chances may increase if I actually bought a ticket.
