MG MGF Technical - Drivers side leak
Hi My problem is a leak in the drivers side, I have found where the water is getting into the cockpit. At the top of the clutch there is a seal, at the water drips through when stationary but when the clutch is used the water can pour in. Has anybody come across this ? I cannot identify how the water is getting through the bulkhead to the clutch, any ideas? |

The clutch master cylinder is bolted to the bulkhead above your feet. It has a gasket to prevent water leaking around it but if the bolts (2) are loose then you may get your problem. Check them out. You will have to remove the black plastic cover (officially known as the Under Bonnet Closing panel) which hides the clutch and brake cylinders to some extent. HTH Bruce |
