MG MGF Technical - Elastic Hood Straps

I noticed that someone was selling some elastic straps on e-bay for 9.99 to help with the roof being retracted, as mine has started to stop half way and i have to pull it forward again for it to go all the way back.
(and yes before anyone mentions the rear window is unzipped and laid flat first)So many don't i believe.

Apparently the ones fitted loose there elasticity after a while and this is what aids to having holes in your roof. I was just wondering if anyone had used these straps before and what they thought?

As this seems a very easy & cheap solution to an annoying problem.

If you search the archive you'll find plenty of threads about this. Yes, they work perfectly - they were originally designed to push the folds of fabric away from the frame to prevent them being caught (the so-called "scissor action") but they also have the effect of completely solving the hood lock up problem.

Got them and they are simple to fit and work a treat.

Could I remind everyone that if they contact me direct the price is 10 with free delivery to the uk. With regard to how good they are, look at my Ebay feedback. Everyone that has bought them agrees that they cure the hood lock-up problem that is the curse of MGFs and MGTFs.
