MG MGF Technical - Engine Cleanout
Paramount (Swansea) have an offer on at the moment where you can get your engine 'cleaned out'. They do not mention the price, but they are doing it without charging labour. I have a 1998 VVC with 32k - it is in on Thursday for a service & MOT and I was umming and ahing about whether to get it done or not. Has anyone had it done ? Any feedback ? Cheers Jeff 1998VVC R380ODG |

I guess they are going to use some type of engine flush and this is FREE,but they will then need to replace the oil and filter and they will charge you for this and any other work they may find. OK if you need an oil change. |

Unless you have a small oil leak/ weeping gasket where the only thing stopping you dumping oil all over the floor is the gunk in the hole ;-) The reason the flush is "free" is that in an oil change using the flush is not actually any more work. Will |

What's meant by a 'cleanout'? Do they mean an oil change, a coolant flush or simply a steam clean of the engine bay Jeff? |
