MG MGF Technical - Fog lights
Has any one seen replacement surrounds for the mk 1 fog lights? One of the nasty black plastic discs has been threatening to fall off for some time - and now has. I think a chrome or alloy replacement may look much better. Failing that can you buy the originals in body colour or do they need to be painted specially? |

just a shot in the dark. Is that a Peter Ambrose once from Hertford? |

I had mine painted to the body colour when the car went in for repairs, they did it free, and it makes the car look much better, blends them in well, looks especialy good with painted headlamps and clear indicators. |

I think body colour surrounds are probably the answer and are suitably unobtrusive - failing anything better. I will remember to ask next time I hit something. I've never actually been to Hertford! I'm an Essex boy in a previous life. |

I think it's worth to asking at common dealers fro this spare. Have a broken front fog lamp and got one single quoted from Trident in Ottershaw. (33.50 incl VAT) May be the sell the other bits as well. Dieter PS if this doesn't work, then drop me a line ( mgf@mgcc.de ), may be I can help with a split surround. |
