MG MGF Technical - Headlight bulbs-equivalence
I thought this might be a straightforward question but having read the archives it does not appear to be simple.I have a '97 F VVC VIN SARRDWBTCADO18848.Handbook says headlight bulb is GLB 448 Main and GLB499 Dip.Can anyone tell me is 448 an H1(or whatever) and 499(?).And where can I currently get an adequate bulbpack/kit to take to France? Thanks. |

I think they should both be H1. This deal represents a big saving over the normal price for Osram Nightbreakers: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OSRAM-Night-B ... 0851052001 |

That's right what Charless said. The H1 type is correct, even at Halfrauds or other shops is listed a different type. You've got a Japanese re-import MGF, am I ? |

That's right. Thanks folks. Yes Dieter.Apparently built mid-'97, re-imported Jul '99.I acquired it Feb 2000( so that makes it the longest owned car I have ever had-previously an MGB for 9 years). Still 1 foot of snow up here in N Wales.3 feet in Llangollen yesterday with 6-8 foot drifts on the A5. |
