MG MGF Technical - Induction kit rocks!

Hi all!

I just fitted a PiperX Induction air filter, and it is soooooo kewl! I dont know what the K&N is like, but it cant be much better.. Both Moto-build and Mike Satur (both of which race MGF's) insisted that the Piper was the better model, and it certainly seems that way! The sound is incredible and the power increase is very noticible!

If you havent replaced your air filter yet, I thoroughly recommend it! It only took me about an hour to fit, and cost me 95.60 (incl. VAT) for the chrome kit (they have a metallic blue and a metallic red version too).

Have you also fitted 'cold air pipes'?

They should increase the temperature thus giving out more power at the end.

K&N 57i kits comes with this, and from my knowledge PiperX doesn't.

Would be a good investment to fit them.

Hanah

Hi - how long has Mike Satur been racing MGFs??

Hannah,

Yep, I fitted the cold air pipes (Moto-build gave me one of those for free! :)) Actually did it in the dark with a small halogen light. Proves how easy it is to fit ;) Checking Mike Satur's website, it looks like their PiperX comes with a cold-air pipe tooo..

Ted,

Hmm.. You might be right.. Doesnt look like Mike races, but he has had heavy involvement with MGF's for quite a while ;)
