MG MGF Technical - it won't start

I just went to start the car and all i got a load clicking noise.can anyone tell what they think the problems could be.also can anybody recommend a good garage to use in the redhill surrey area.

Flat battery.
:-D

Try leave the ignition on 2nd stage (3rd is starting).

and leave the fan on 4th stage. Try turning on the headlights in full lights, and see if the fans slow down heaps, or even lights are not bright enough. These are the signs of the flat a battery. It sounds like a machine gun ay? :-D

The machine gun noise is normally the solenoid when the battery is flat

Are you getting 12 volts across the starter motor when you switch to start? If low your battery is probably flat if zero then faulty leads or connections to battery or starter motor, or solenoid contacts faulty.
Best of luck
