MG MGF Technical - Light in the glovebox ?
My glovebox lamp doesn't work. So, I check bulb and switch and wires and fuses and everything are Ok. In fact, I just doesn't have volt come to the switch ? (that's why doesn't work!) Wires is Ok and go to hardness wires which seem to go to the fuse box. What can i check now ? Any ideas of this ? My footwell lamp works and inside mirror too. (just glovebox doesn't want to light) AAGGRRRRRRRRRRRR.... Am i silly ? Thierry. |

Just an idea, but doesn't the glovebox light only come on when you have your headlights on? |

Yes, it works like that !!!!!!!!!! I'm a stupid man, thanks a lot PAUL and sorry for this question. But it's not like that in the whole cars. And not very logical if your car is parking, you have to switch on the light to take something into the glovebox... |

Thierry Put it down to British Logic:-) Ted |

Why where on British logic !! Does anyone actual keep gloves in it ?? What have you got in yours ?? Incidently if you have aircon the Glovebox makes an excellent cool box when the aircons on...Keeps your drinks lovely n cold on a hot day !! STU |

I keep my owner's manual and a case with CD's ... on that subject I had a radio CD player fitted as standard but they gave me a glove box door with spaces to fit cassettes... more British logic?? lol ER |

>>Incidently if you have aircon the Glovebox makes an >>excellent cool box when the aircons on...Keeps your >>drinks lovely n cold on a hot day Dont know about drinks, more like drink. In Dads he fits a pair of sunglasses lengthways beside the aircon unit and that totally fills it up. Its not like your even gonna fit one bottle of wine in there let alone drinkS :) |
