MG MGF Technical - MISTED HEADLAMP

how do you de-mist the b*stard?
Mike Coward

Mine does too. I don't know why...

Seems to go away pretty quickly once the lights on though.

Hanah Kim

Pretty difficult to demist without putting the lights on i think!

mine is particularly bad as the glass is cracked. :o(

Julian

putting the lights on does not help.
It is so bad that the water droplets refract the light thus dazzling other road users.
Mike Coward

If it's a new car (ie. covered by warranty) take it back and complain. Otherwise perhaps some clear silicon gel stuff could be smeared round the join between the headlight glass and main body (body of the light I mean). Whether the heat from the light when on would melt the silicon though I would not like to say. Disclaimer - try at your own risk! :)
