MG MGF Technical - Misting head lamps
I've just noticed some condensation on the inside of both headlamps. Are the headlamps on the MGF sealed units or is this normal? Thanks |

Praveen They're not sealed units. The glass front is held onto the reflector by stainless steel clips around the edge; about 5 I think. In between the glass and the reflector is a soft(ish) rubber gasket which should seal the two halves and keep out the moisture. Sounds as if your problem may lie here. You have to remove the front bumper/valance to gain full access to the lights but this is not a major job. Just need someone to help hold it to stop it falling on the ground when removing the securing bolts. Nick |

The car is still under the manufacturers warranty, before I go back to the dealer, is condensation on the lens something to be expected or is it something I could get the garage to repair under the warranty? Thanks |

Definitely - it ain't wear and tear! |
