MG MGF Technical - MK1 and MK2 rear plastic window

Hi all,

I'm curious about the difference between the old window until mid of 1997 versus the newer including mgtf.
This should be only the zip size, mentioned Mike S. the other day.

I got the following measures of 'a' window from a fellow owner and wonder whether this belongs to the old hood with seams or to the newer without seams.

********
The window itself is 438mm high, the zip strip is 38mm
wide, and has approx. 14 teeth per inch.
********
Can' look up at my MGF, cause she's 100 miles away in the other garage. Though it would be nice if anyone out there with count skills on teath per inch could have a look and compare.

Thank you in advance !

Regards
Dieter

Dieter,

When we ask a question you answer in minutes.

When you ask a question nobody answers.

Cannot help you, I have a Mk I but had a different pitch zip fitted when the rear window was replaced.

Also, it is raining and cold otherwise would go outside and measure for you :-)

No worries. I start now with the Fiesta Diesel for the weekend at home. MGF is in the dry home garage. Need to look for 'her' in any way and try measuring the MK2.

Cheers
