MG MGF Technical - Northampton Servicing?
Hi any decent garages around Northants to whom I can trust my car to? I really wouldn't want just any one servicing it. |

Can thoroughly recommend Little Houghton Garage, just outside Northampton city.Stuart Pettit is the owner/enthusiast...although perhaps more involved with older models (B's and midgets etc).Worth a call to 01604 890317 anyway,IMO Official MGR dealer in Northampton is Bament - where I got my TF from.Haven't yet used their service dept, so can't comment, but sales were "OK",and interested in MG's. They also support the Northampton branch of the MGOC, and offer 10% (I think) discount on labour costs to members. HTH. |

I use townends in Rushden for my TF, no probs so far and they are pretty good at explaining what work has been/needs to be done... Cheers, Russky |

Thanks guys. Its nice to know there are at least some Garages out there who dont just wanna rip ya off. Or am I just being cynical! In the five year service does it recomend changing the air filter? Mike |

Not sure about the Air Filter, But I do know that on the 5 Year/60000 Mile service they change the Cam Belt so that service usually costs in the region on £350-£400. Cheers, Russky |

Air Filter is every 2 years ( 2,4,6 ...) but 5yr/60000 does replace Fuel Filter and Spark Plugs |
