MG MGF Technical - old for new hood?

hi i have been offered to buy a 2000 mgf hood and have been assured it will fit my 1996 mk 1 mgf vvc, can anyone confirm this as i am fed up with being ripped off, also does anyone know where i can get a used drivers side headlight for the same car. Many thanks laura

Yes - it'll fit no problem.

One thing to look out for is that the side glass windows were reduced in size sometime in (?)97/98 - so you may find that your windows form a particularly good seal with the softtop - if opening and closing the doors is an issue, then the glass position can be altered to suit.

Replacement head lamps can be had from a variety of sources: Brown and Gammons, the MGF Centre and Mike Satur to name but three.
