MG MGF Technical - Pedal Extensions?

does anybody know if there are pedal extensions available for the F and if so where I can get them from? many thanks
Louise

Louise,

I don't know about extensions, but Mike Satur does do a couple of devices that allow the height of the clutch and brake pedals to be adjusted. Take a look on his website...

How about screwing some wooden blocks to the pedals?

(sorry i couldn't help it)

What kind of extentions do you mean? The Sparco style of accessory that widens the pedals to aid 'heel and toeing' or a way of bringing the pedals closer to you?

If the former, then Mike Satur does sell a range of screw on type pedal extention kits- but there are also a huge range of products from a number of manufacturers that will fit almost any car- the MGF included. The Demon Tweeks catalogue has a large range to choose from for example.

I find with my size 10's that the brake pedal is set too far to the left. The clutch and accelerator pedals are fine.

I wonder if there any pedals on the market that offset the brake pedal to the right slightly.

Rob, I am looking for extensions to bring the pedals closer to me so that I don't have to sit right up against the steering wheel which is unsafe because of the hazard posed by the airbag as has been widely reported.

Nick, thanks for that (not!) >:-) will try that if all else fails!!
Louise

Louise , you need the pedal adjuster kits for the clutch and brake pedals as seen on our web site(?)£45.00 plus vat.Alternatively put horse manure in ya boots.

If you decide to fit pedal extensions, Sparco etc, the pedals are a real b*s%a@d to drill, i broke about 4 or 5 bits drilling mine. Look and work ok though, i got the ones Mike Satur fits to his cars.

Hi Louise,

I have one of Mike's brake pedal adjuster kits on my car- although in my case to lower the pedal. Mike does the kit for both the clutch and brake, and can confirm that they are reasonably straightforward to fit, although working under the steering wheel is a bit tricky for space! The kits are infinitely adjustable over a specific range- Mike can probably let you know what is achievable.

Nick- thanks for the highlighting the difficulty with the sparco style extensions. Problem with hard metal, or a problem with available space?

Cheers
