MG MGF Technical - performance chip?

does anyone know of a performance upgrade chip for the f?
James

There are several James, ranging from intercept chips to direct replacements of the original ECU.

A word of warning though, if you have not got any other modifications to your engine, then do not expect miracles from a substitution of the engine's electronic brain. ECU's are mapped to within 5% of optimal performance- an error margin to account to variable fuel quiality. Therefore, you can only anticipate a few percent extra power at the risk of damaging your engine.

A far better option is to look at other tuning options first- which you have done already?

I had an Interceptor fitted at the same time as dropping some Piper 270's in. It was supposed to be mapped for the cams, but I could feel no difference with or without the Interceptor fitted.

Rob, I have done no modifications yet. Will be fitting the K&N 57i Very soon, but was waiting for the new series to adapt to the F. Will also do the platinum plugs and new leads at teh same time. Most people here have not noticed significant gains from exhaust changes, so I will most likely leave mine as is.
