MG MGF Technical - rattle re: shock absorbers
Wonder if anyone can help. Got a rattle under my 1998 1.8VVC which is being diagnosed as a worn rear shock absorber lower bush.(I think that's what he said)Said it has worn so both shocks need replacing. Does this sound reasonable? Don't want to pay £170 unneccesarily. |

Rover change the whole shock, specialist peeps can supply a new bush - which is significantly cheaper! |

JH Another bum steer from Will - I tried googling for 'specialist peeps' and realy don't think I want to go there! Start by contacting the specialists that advertise on this bbs; Mike Satur does suspension bushes at good prices; Brown & Gammons probably do them; TechSpeed would probably supply them; MGF Centre will but I believe they are on holiday at present. You wil find an ADVERTISERS link on the ring menu above, changing advertising headers at top of screen and a Jump To ADVERTISERS link. While doing the botton bushes you may as well do the top ones as well, saves getting under the car in a few days when you wish you had done them all. |
