MG MGF Technical - Rear screen
How many threads have I read about splitting the screen in the cold, and how not to karate chop it when in a hurry. Well now I have done it and am looking for a cheap yet good company that repairs in the West London area. Any ideas much appreciated. |

You may need to travel a few miles. Croydon http://www.softtopwindows.com (or co.uk). |

You are right about the distance however there seem to be good instructions on DIY, which did you do? After I have bought the rivet gun there is not much difference in the price just the three or four hours travelling to Croydon. |

I changed the car just before I needed a new screen! |

Tim, I DIYed this last year, it's a doddle. I posted some hints on the MGOC board (which it seems I cannot reproduce here without getting hammered for copyright infringment). At http://www2.mgcars.org.uk/cgi-bin/gen5?runprog=mgbbs, do an archive search for the phrase "on a windy day" in the MGF/ mgtf Technical Archive. This archive requires MGOC registration btw ;-( Alternatively, email me at colin_mcilwaine at ie dot ibm dot com. Ta, Col |
