MG MGF Technical - Spark Plugs
I read a very good review of these a few weeks ago and am concidering maybe getting a set... http://www.ngkntk.co.uk/products/cars.asp click on Iridium Does anybody know of any reason why this would be a bad idea? Or just a waste of money...... :-) |

>Does anybody know of any reason why this would be a bad idea? Yes, Iridium type aren't available for MGF ;) PFR6N-11 is platinum (IMO) |

Well that's a fair reason..! :-) |

Just got this email back from NKG... "The plugs you suggest are the wrong heat range (they should be 6) and the hexagon size would be too large. The catalogued plug (which is Platinum) that we have is PFR6N-11 and an Iridium plug that would replace this is part number BKR6EIX-11." Think I might invest in a set and see. :-) |

Cheers ! 10 points 4you ;) Did you mention the make year / type of the car (VVC ? mpi ?) This cause mgtf and Trophy 160 should have listed different original p/n's, different from earlier. I'll note it to the parts lists. Please get back with your experiance report. Good or bad, anyway. |

Hi Dieter, Yes told them 1.8i and the age so they knew what to recommend. I was surprised as the NKG site does only recommends the platinum ones. I should have them fitted on thursday ( thanks to he knows who ). So will see after. A. |
