MG MGF Technical - Speedo Cable Problems

The rear section of the Speedometer cable (the part nearest the gear box) on my 75 LE failed yesterday. I have contacted the MG main dealer, Brown & Gammons, Midland mg spares and a number of others. It would appear that this part for vehicles pre VIN XD511058 is unavailable. Does anyone have any idea of where I can obtain one of these? I'll take new or used.

Thanks for the suggestions, I have now obtained the part, the nice man at Swain & Jones in Farneham spoke to a friend of a friend etc. and got the part :-)
