MG MGF Technical - Starting the Restored Pull Handle
Ok All you experts out there I need some advise. Just restored my 65 pull handle. Get every thing back in and tried to start it. Before trying I had lights and fuel pump. Went to start and got a flash on the right side of the engine (couldn't see exactly where) now I get nothing, no lights, no fuel pump, nothing. I am getting power to the celluloid and to the live side of the fuse box (fuses are ok). On the other side of the celluloid nod and on the rest of the car I get a dim light on my tester. But nothing works. Where is the short? Did I burn out a ground and from where? |

Lucas the Prince of Darkness has not let you see this is the MGF Technical BBS. However whilst you move to the MGB BBS consider that the main wiring from the battery arrives at the solenoid on the right inner wing (fender) from there si splits to supply the different circuits so if you get power to the fuse box you may have the problem in the connections between the solenoid and starter.
