MG MGF Technical - Steptronic EM-CVT Gearbox-Interface part number ?

Hi,

had a call from a dutch MGF owner with a strange story and a more or less easy question.

At first a parts question. Can someone with access to the parts records please look up the partnumber for the Gearbox-interface and the price and availiability ?
Are there different versions of this Interface ?
Not sure about the right english name. That box is located anywhere in the boot, I suppose on the left side. In Workshop manual Edition No 8 it's shown on page 1 of the CVT description (#6) , or much more detailed on page 6 (#17) in the centre. Eight input lines from Switches, gear box, steering wheel etc go in and four go out.

As well of technical interest. This interface seams to have a status line to the ECM and a serial diagnose line related to ISO9141-2 K... whatever this means.

Now to the strange...and secrets ...
I'm not familiar with all the delivered MGF versions. So can someone confirm or not whether
- CVT and aircon is an impossible combination ?
- Steptronic cars never got exported to Japan, means, there doesn't exist any Japan version with CVT ?

At last I'd be interested to know what was the first VIN of Steptronic equipped cars. Should be anything about VIN 504xxx ??

If it's any help my Steptronic is 526212 first regestered 29 March 2001 (just before the headgasket upgrade).
