MG MGF Technical - SUPERSPORTS EXHAUSTS???

I'VE HAD THE K&N FILTERS AND HAVE BEEN TOLD A SUPERSPORTS EXHAUST WOULD HELP BOOST PERFORMANCE AND NOISE!!! CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND A GOOD SYSTEM OR SUPPLIER AND IS IT STRAIGHT FORWARD TO FIT?
CHRIS THOMAS

Have a look at the exhaust listing and rolling road data on http://www.mgf.4mg.com

Exhausts certainly improve noise. Performance gains are modest however- up to 5 bhp on a Mike Satur Daytona.

My top two prefered exhausts at the moment are Mike Satur's Daytona (http://www.mikesatur.co.uk) and the Phoenix exhaust system (sorry I don't have a URL to hand).

Top two runners up are the SP Supersports and the Trevor Taylor Fxtreme.

Chris,

As you say you're in the USA, are you talking about an MGF, or one of the other models (you also say K&N filter_s_ - the F only uses one)?

You might get a more appropriate response from one of the other BBS sections if you are - though there are people here who know about other types...

Good luck,

Neil.

Hmmm, just pulled up the AOL member profile and "SGTMGF" is not listed. This could just mean that Chris hasn't got round to doing one yet, but given that he appears to have an MGF in the USA with 2 or more air filters i am a little suspicious.

I may send him an Email, just to see if i get a bounce back.
