MG MGF Technical - technical/service manual

Hi!

Does anyone know where I can buy a technical/service manual for the MGF?

Any MGR dealer, the MGOC site, Brown & Gammon site are all good starting points.

It seems that no third party manual has been published so it is the real thing from one of the ablove.

RCL0051ENG Edition No x
x depends on which MGF type you have.
If an older pre MY2000 then Edition No 3 is enough. Later Editions the No 7 (IMO) include Stepspeed gearbox and other MY2000 terms.
Latest Edition for MGF is No 8. (838 pages)
Including MGF Trophy.

mgtf Maual is a new part number. No edition known currently.

The above manual is enhanced with wiring diagrams. Though the early before MY2000 can be found online.

If you like to go deaper then see for K-Engine Overhaul Manual, Bodyworks Manual, and PG1 Gearbox manual.

Try ebay UK, and there is a guy selling MGF CDs (with workshop manual + engine manual + gearbox manual) for 8 pounds.

Worth a try?

I have bought one of the cds from ebay - they are just as decribed - the full workshop manuals including electrical and bosywork for all MGFs up the Trophy, as well as for Rover 100, 200, 400, 800 and coupe. I know it is a lot of money for a copied cd, but in terms of the data you get it does seem good value!

Try put it on some FTP site or something, no one will find out where it came from. Let us know where you place it, PLEASE!!!!
Easier for us people not from UK, and a bit cheaper because the seller is willing to send to mainland Europe, but charges UK 15 for postage.

Yes the cd from ebay is as good as it sounds - it is really great - I have had mine for a few days now and I am still finding new parts to the data!

The MG TF manual is part number RCL 0493ENG

The CDs are clearly copies of the RAVE discs and I am fortunate in having legitimate access to the current ones that cover all the current MG and Rover ranges, the amount of information held is massive and not something that would normally be practical to be held in paper format.
