MG MGF Technical - TF 160 AIRBOX
Any info on changing the standard air filter unit to the later 160 trophy box. Tried the open pipercross filter and toooo noisy, must be getting old. ITG to pricy so if mg changed the system it must work. Already have the daytona system and throttle body so only breathing to do.Cheers |

Jamie, I had thought that the later Trophy 160 airbox was a straight swap with the earlier airbox designs (i.e. pre-2001), but as Mark will tell you, it isn't without some modification to the mounting bracket. If, however, you have a post-2001 MGF, then you're in luck - but then again, you could just modify what you've got. There's a bit more information on this here: http://www.mgf.ultimatemg.com/group2/air_filters/alternative_filter_options.htm |
