MG MGF Technical - TF 160 mods
Ok I know there's been some talk about disconnecting the chip for the exhaust valve but any suggestions for improved performance or engine noise? Is there anything availble to give me either a bit for perfomance or improved engine sound i.e. growl.. I've tried the exhaust mod and didn't really do anything for me... |

James, Replace the AirFilter assembly for one of the Cone filter arrangements KN or PiperCross offerings, replace the exhaust, but as you are still in warranty period, I doubt if that would be such a good idea. A pipercross replacement panel filter is about as much as you can get away with, no noise but possibly a slight power improvement (and I do mean slight), I fitted one recently, and either it was the cold weather or something but my 160 seemed to breathe easier with it fitted. Even a cone filter is relatively easy to take off come service time. |

Mike Satur has a foam air filter element on his web site for the 160 airbox. |
