MG MGF Technical - TF Clutch Pedal Adjustment
Can the biting point on the clutch pedal of the mgtf160 be adjusted? I have complained about this before, but it is beginning to spoil my pleasure of the car. My old F was great no trouble with the clutch. But, my TF 160 clutch bites right near the top of the travel. Dealer says it is normal and no adjustment possible. One monkey even suggested it was because the TF 160 was a heavier clutch than the TF135. I have driven other TF's including another 160 and they do not seem to be the same. Anybody got some practical advice? Dieter? Anyone? |

David If it is any help - the TF160 that I took out on demonstration was the opposite and the clutch started to bite almost the moment you lifted your foot - too soon I thought and I said so and was told that they (TFs) are all like that! Ted |

All clutches have adjustment - usually to allow for wear. Not sure how to achieve this on an MGF/TF - but it aint rocket science. |
