I think Rob is for a walk in lexandrapark with the pushchair ;) It's a VVC, isd it ? Did you check the coolant temperature sensor connections ? Could you measure the oxigen sensor function ? Just some quick ideas. http://www.mgfcar.de/sensor/index.htm |

Darren, How old are the plugs (how many miles)? You're not supposed to clean them - if you used anything abrasive you could have created a track to earth. You can't really tell if they're ok visually. Also, be careful playing with the HT leads even with gloves on - the shock from electronic ignition ain't pleasant. Could be air filter - when you put your foot down it will "bog down" if it doesn't get enough air. Easy enough to check and cheap to change. Cheers, Tim |

Mind you also on the other side of the engine. Check the catalyst whether it's broken and blocked. |
Dieter |
ok you are brilliant what i did at lunchtime was take the parcel shelf out and gave the contacts a good clean the plugs went in at 51000 now shes does 61000 how do i check the catalyst for it to be blocked and the air filters not much money |
Darren Jeffery |
>how do i check the catalyst for it to be blocked Bolt off and look inside. The only way I know. |
