MG MGF Technical - windows one stop

could someone explain what a one stop window does, does it mean it goes down in one press, as my mgtf dosn't and the dealer didn't know either, my mg is 2 months old.
thanks for any help.
Also can anyone tell me if they get a 'whoosp' type noise when opening the filler cap?
p bowley

one stop windows are exactly what you said, but I dont think they're standard on the TF

The "whoosp" noise is pressure being released and is perfectly normal

"as my mgtf doesn't and the dealer didn't know either"

Tell your 'Dealer' he's a fcukwit and tell him to fix it! Little wonder the buyers are descending on the Citroen-Peugeot-Honda-Ford(!!) showrooms like there's no tommorrow..

According to MG website, one stop is standard on the TF.
You only get one stop for down though.
Steve White

I dont have them, but as I understand from here you activate them by pressing _very_ breifly on the down button, alternativly you can press and hold the button until the window is fully down.

Pamela, this may sound silly, but how are you trying to activate the one-stop facility? IIRC, to activate the one-stop, you stab the window button briefly. A longer press only moves the window for as long as the button is depressed.

So, depending on how you operate the window switches, you may find that the one-stop operation may not appear to work
