MG TD TF 1500 - $70,000.00 TD restoration
Looks like this car is still on ebay! No more photo though. Little over 25,000 offered so far. Wonder why it still pops up? Been there quite a while. PJ |

Do you have a e bay number for this? |

You mean the one with classic lines in the ad such as: "All electricals correct; new and work 100%......Original factory clock has stopped working." and: "The data stated in this advertisement represents our honest and unbiased opinion but it shall be understood by all parties concerned that our advertisement or description herein is not to be considered a guarantee of its accuracy nor will it create any liability on our part arising out of the reliance on the information supplied." |

Finally figured out which car was being discussed. This thing has been on ebay several times, usally getting no bids. I dont know what teh guy is drinking but it must be good. It is a nice car but correct..duh pardon me but NOT. Price is for dreamers or some dumb SOB that has no idea what these cars are worth. BJ is not a place to get a price from on one of our type of cars IMHO. He may have 70 grand in restoration but he is nuts thinking he will get anywhere near that. |

Looks like she's now sold and living in Texas, perhaps it will make a good basis for an original car! |

I thought it was the one on ebay, not same car. |

Not the one I was thinking of. IMHO: A beautiful TD ....but I must admit I am a bit dissapointed. For $70k I was expecting to see a 100 point car completly concourse correct. The level of workmanship is astounding....but to skimp on some of the smallest details makes no sence to me. Hose clamps / Valve cover / Air cleaner / Bright yellow MGB fan, ect ...I don't get it. |

I wish folks could comprehend the difference between customized and restored. Dave's right about the level of workmanship, but it's a long way from being 'resored'. It's also missing the radiator drain pipe. Bud |

I must be sitting on a gold mine......cough...cough ....cough. Talk about blowing smoke. |

Something seems to be amiss around the master cylinder. Doesn't look right. Not a good shot of it but, I thought TDs and TFs were the same. PJ |
